The white plastic shower head that comes with the L5 is fine but ours started leaking water from around the on/off switch. Rather than try to fix it we just decided to upgrade to this chrome/stainless steel model. It's got a much more heavy duty feel to it, and it's much nicer looking as well...more of a 'bathroom shower' look to it which it what I was going for with our outdoor shower.
